FixASB enters public beta
After a period of testing and development in private beta, FixASB is now entering public beta and is available for anyone experiencing persistent anti-social behaviour to use.
FixASB has been built around a simple idea: when anti-social behaviour persists in a particular place, people should have an easier way to record what is happening, demonstrate its impact and build a clearer picture of the problem over time.
Too often, individual incidents can appear isolated when reported separately. For the people living or working with persistent anti-social behaviour, however, the cumulative impact can be considerable. Repeated noise, intimidation, nuisance behaviour, drug use, vandalism or other problems can affect how safe people feel in their homes, neighbourhoods and public spaces.
FixASB helps people document that wider picture.
Users can create a record of an ongoing problem, identify where and when it happens, describe its impact and provide updates as the situation develops. Where appropriate, this can help create clearer, more structured evidence to support engagement with the police, councils, housing providers and others responsible for tackling anti-social behaviour.
Moving into public beta is an important next step for FixASB.
The core service is now ready for wider use, but we also know that the best way to improve it is to see how it works for people dealing with real problems in real places. During the beta period, we will continue refining the service, improving existing features and developing new ways to help people understand and respond to persistent anti-social behaviour.
We particularly welcome feedback from people using FixASB. If something is unclear, could be easier, or you think there is something we should add, we want to hear about it. Feedback from residents, businesses, public bodies and organisations working to tackle anti-social behaviour will all help shape what comes next.
Public beta also means there may occasionally be things that change as we learn. We will be listening closely to users and making improvements as the service develops.
FixASB is free for members of the public to use.
If anti-social behaviour is persistently affecting your home, street, neighbourhood, business or another place you care about, you can now use FixASB to start building a clearer record of the problem.
