Our business model and mission

Why we believe a mission-led private business can help us move quickly, develop useful technology and make a bigger impact.

  • Focused on our mission

Our goal is to help make public places safer. We use data, technology and partnerships to help people and organisations understand problems earlier and respond more effectively.

  • A private business that can move quickly

We believe operating as a private business allows us to develop and improve FixASB quickly, invest in the technology, and make it available more widely.

  • Creating value for the public and our partners

Crime and anti-social behaviour cost individuals, businesses and public services significant amounts of time and money. We aim to help reduce those costs. Our business earns revenue by providing useful services to organisations that benefit from the value we create.

Trust and credentials

The public and our partners should be able to trust FixASB to operate responsibly, securely and transparently.

Security (plain English)

How we protect FixASB and the information entrusted to us.

  • Encryption in transit and at rest

We use encryption to protect data while it is being sent and while it is stored. This helps prevent unauthorised access to your information.

  • Following recognised security guidance

Guidance from the UK National Cyber Security Centre (NCSC) (opens external site) helps inform our approach to security, including how we protect cloud services and manage cyber risk.

  • Several layers of protection

We do not rely on a single security measure. We use several layers of protection, including restricted access, secure authority portals, monitoring and other technical controls.
